January 1^st, 2023 – December 31, 2023 

Family Connections is the recipient of Sheboygan County ARPA funds and will use these funds in a variety of ways to support child care providers currently working in the field of early care and education.  

A one-time retention bonus will be paid to all current permanent full-time and part-time staff as a Thank You from the community and to provide a small incentive to them for the hard work and dedication they have to the field of Early Childhood education. Bonuses will be paid quarterly over a year beginning with the second quarter of 2023 and ending with the first quarter of 2024.  

Each bonus will be based on the total number of hours worked in each quarter. Bonuses will be paid quarterly in the following way: 

Staff who work up to 280 hours in the quarter will be paid a one-year bonus of $500, broken down quarterly to $125.00 per quarter worked.  

Staff who work 280 or more hours in the quarter will be paid a one-year bonus of $1,000, broken down quarterly to $250.00 per quarter worked.  

Retention bonuses are non-transferable, the idea of these bonuses is to retain staff at the current center they are employed to reduce the amount of turnover, hopefully aiding in more accessibility. 

Employees who leave your center for employment with another regulated child care center will no longer be eligible to receive the retention bonus.  

Family Connections will keep a database of all individuals who are paid bonuses each month and will deny any payments made to individuals who switched centers unless those centers are within the same business.
